Grief & Loss
Grief can be extremely complex, complicated, and downright confusing at times. You know that more than anyone else due to the ever-changing emotions you’ve felt as a result of your loss.
One moment you might be angry, the next you might be depressed. Out of nowhere, you may notice that you’re feeling extremely irritable, then all of a sudden you may have the urge to break down and cry. This may later be followed by the urge to yell or even break something. When you sit down to think about the grief you’ve experienced, you may even find yourself feeling a sense of shame, guilt, and responsibility.
Somewhere along the twists and turns of this feelings rollercoaster, you may come to realize that you can’t run from these emotions; they show up wherever you are, not caring whether or not you’re around colleagues at work, your family at home, or around your friends attempting to socialize.
And I say attempting because frequently transitioning from feeling irritable, depressed, angry, shame, and guilty, can all be so exhausting. This can make you feel isolated and just want to stay to yourself. It can also make you lose interest in the things you use to love. Even if you forced yourself to do the things you once enjoyed prior to experiencing grief, you may find it hard to experience happiness, satisfaction, or love.
With all the emotions you’re experiencing due to grief, the one thing you could benefit from right now is some support. I hear you, I see you, I empathize with you, and I am here to support you. I am here to help you learn how to cope with your grief as we work together to process all of the emotions you continue to experience.
You are not alone, you are not a burden, and you are worthy of support.
